Rafik Hariri University
Located in Mechref area, the Rafik Hariri University opened its doors for the first time on September 15, 1999, with a student cohort of 75 students only, all registered in the College of Business Administration. The colleges of Engineering and Science and Information Systems were established later in time. It is worth noting that the programs of study at RHU were developed in association with a number of Canadian institutions, including the Canadian Bureau of International Education (CBIE), the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Capilano College and Memorial University. RHU was granted a university status in June 19, 2006, by Decree Number 17192, while the Faculty of Humanities was licensed, by Decree number 9139, in November 01, 2012.
RHU mission is to equip its student with knowledge and proficiency, both being a must for future success in the workplace, and for effective competition in the global community. To that end, RHU offers quality affordable higher education to all, fosters personal and professional excellence and develops leadership skills to be at the service of the common good.
