Hariri High School II

 

 

One of the oldest coeducational private schools in Lebanon. Established in 1860 by the Syrian Protestant Mission, under the name of "The Lebanese Evangelical School for Boys and Girls", the school became under the stewardship of the Rafik Hariri Foundation as of 1986, having the name of "Hariri High School II". The school, which is distinguished for its historical buildings, was restored, and  progressively expanded with new buildings to accommodate around 1250 students. It is equipped with modern facilities; IT and science laboratories, music room, art hall, as well as a multipurpose auditorium that accommodates around 500 people.

The school follows the Lebanese educational system, from nursery to grade 12, with English, besides Arabic, being the language of instruction. French is taught as a second foreign language starting from grade 1.

In addition to a well-developed academic program, the school adopts co-curricular and extracurricular activities, that being in line with the school mission which is dedicated to equip students with communication and creative skills and to ensure their preparedness to be responsible citizens, ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
